Do I need to book or join something?
No, you can pay on the day, either by contactless card or cash (please bring the correct change).
There’s no joining fee, but before your first class you will need to complete a self-assessment questionnaire about your readiness to undertake physical activity. This is to ensure that Debs is aware of any special adaptations that you may require during the classes.
DanceFit Lite & Forever Active
– Medication such as GTN spray or asthma inhaler
– Water bottle
– Comfortable clothing you can move in
– Smooth-soled shoes (better than grippy trainers) - Smooth-soled or minimalist footwear can make movement feel easier. Some people also enjoy dance trainers with split soles or a turning circle.
– Layers (a sweatshirt or hoodie is always helpful)
– Optional: your own light hand weights if you prefer your own for hygiene reasons (but we provide 0.5 and 1kg weights you can borrow)
– Optional: small towel
Bring what helps you feel comfortable — we can adapt everything else.
Gentle Somatic Movement
– Thick, comfortable mat, blanket, or self-inflating camping mat (a thin yoga mat is often not enough if you have joint sensitivity)
– Medication such as GTN spray or asthma inhaler
– Water bottle (optional)
– Warm socks or layers for comfort
– Optional: small cushion or pillow for head support
